A few weeks ago, Mikey had a day off so we decided to go fishing at Bog Tank (one of Grandpa Pigeon's favorite places to go). Karson had a blast! After only five minutes, this is what Karson's face looked like!!! We found a little friend while we were there - a chipmunk. Mikey and Karson were feeding him sunflower seeds, and Karson kept calling him "kitty." The chipmunk
This is the year that Karson gets to have 2 birthday parties because next year he will remember and start to expect it. We do 2 parties because his birthday is so close to Easter and we are in the valley anyway. So after the Easter egg hunt, we went back to Heather and Myron's and had a party for Karson's 2nd birthday.
We made a CARS birthday cake since that's his favorite movie right now.
It was so cute - this year he actually knew how to blow out the candles!
Ok - I know I'm way out of order, but at least I am getting some new posts in. So after we colored the Easter eggs, Myron and Mikey went to the park and hid them and then we hunted them. This year was even more fun than last with Karson - he would get so excited and then THROW the egg into his bucket. It was so much fun - Zack even found his first Easter egg!!
Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there. I had a great mother's day - I had pancakes and sausage made for my breakfast, at church we got candy bars (instead of the usual single carnation), and I got the most beautiful tulips, an orchid plant, and an iPod. Yes, I guess its about time I got one! The funny story behind it is that our Safeway in town was giving away free iPods on Saturday and I went in the morning and I was so sad that I didn't win. Well, later that afternoon Mikey went with Karson to pick out flowers and HE won!! Happy Mother's Day to me!!
We went to the valley for Easter this year- we were sad the Morris' big Easter egg hunt was cancelled due to the rain. But we went over to Heather and Myron's and colored eggs with Lacey, Tanner, Lexi, Jordan, Tyla, and Jack. They had a blast and Karson only spilled the dye once!!
A couple of weeks ago, we actually managed to keep Karson awake long enough to go to nursery. We got home and while I was making lunch, Karson fell asleep. I guess he was so tired, he crashed out on the kitchen floor!!!
So cousin Lexi was ever so nice and decided to share her enormous jawbreaker sucker that she got from the Grand Canyon with Karson. He did not put it down until he eventually did take a nap in the late afternoon!!! Thanks again, Lex!
We were married and sealed in the Mesa Temple in August 2005. Mikey's from Round Valley (Eagar, where we currently live), and Cassie is from Mesa. We have three boys and one girl: Karson, Zack, Gavin, and Alivia.
I LOVE being a stay at home mom - there is no better job in the world! I also teach dance a few days a week for myself, and I love it and all of my students! Mikey works for Western Technologies out of Lakeside, but he travels all over the mountain. He seems to enjoy it - and it pays the bills!!! I love our little family, but time flies by too quickly! I'm hoping to keep up better on this blog as a "scrapbook" for my family!
