The New Baby!

I had an appointment today and I am barely 14 weeks yesterday. The nurse was trying to find the baby's heartbeat, and she tried for a few minutes, but she couldn't find it. So, she sent me down the hall to get an ultrasound. I was pretty nervous, but trying to think positive. After having the miscarriage, I have a hard time at first until we hear or see the heartbeat. Anyway, we start the ultrasound, and she says, "No wonder they couldn't find the heartbeat, this baby is going crazy!" When I looked, the baby was punching, kicking, and arching its back - "bouncing off the walls," if you will. Then a few seconds later, she asks me,"Do you want to know the gender?" Of course I do, except for the fact that Mikey couldn't come today because he was working in Taylor! I was totally bummed! Then I got to thinking, if I'm barely 14 weeks along and she said she can definetly tell what it is, then I'm 99.9% sure it's a boy!!!!! I could be wrong - she just kept smiling and saying, "I didn't say anything!" when I said it must be a boy. Plus, I've heard that it is much easier to know if it is a boy this early, since they have some obvious parts that girls do not. So, on Aug. 20th we get to find out for sure, and I will be really shocked if it's a girl! It just bugs me a little to know that she knows for sure what we are having, and I don't!! (But pretty much do) Anyway, she took the ultrasound from the side so she wouldn't give anything away!!!

Karson and Jack

A couple of weeks ago, my mom, sister Brianna, and her son Jack came up to visit us and get out of the heat. It was sso great to have them here. I miss my family so much! Anyway, Karson and Jack had a blast together! They were so cute! They played outside and inside, and even had a few screaming contests. (They were perfectly happy, they would just scream and laugh at each other!!!)

Fun in the sun!

So, a few weeks ago, our friends Chaundra and Ella came over so the kids could run and play in the sprinklers. Karson loved it, but Ella wasn't so sure!

So they just played together for a while. They were so cute! Chaundra and I noticed how different they are. Karson is such a boy and Ella is just a little girly girl. IIt's fun to watch because we know that those things are not learned - they just are what they are.

Pregnancy Tag

I was tagged a while ago, but of course I am just now getting to it. Sorry!! I thought I would also take this time to give a little update, since I've had a lot of people ask me how I'm doing. I have been doing really well so far. I am 13 weeks along, and I have an appointment next week and we should get to hear the heartbeat for the first time!! Hopefully any other questions will be answered in the tag.

5 THINGS THAT MAKE MY STOMACH TURN:

1. Poopy diapers
2. Mikey's burps (sorry babe)
3. Yogurt (I haven't been able to eat it this time)
4. People with B.O.
5. Tapioca (sp?) pudding

5 THINGS THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE/CRAVE:

1. Pepsi (of course)
2. Ice cream
3. Fries with ranch
4. Otter pops
5. Cafe Rio

5 THINGS I CONSTANTLY WORRY ABOUT:

1. A snow storm when I go into labor
2. Not making it to Show Low in time for the drugs
3. If we are having a boy, convincing my husband to not name him Zack Morris
4. Having a healthy baby
5. How Karson will handle being a big brother

5 THINGS I AM EXCITED ABOUT:

1. Having a new baby
2. That new baby smell
3. Feeling the baby move for the first time
4. Finding out what our baby will be
5. Bringing the baby home

IF YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE HAVING, WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO HAVE
I am hoping for a girl, so Mikey and I can avoid the fights about boy names (especially Zack). Although, I would love for Karson to have a brother close to his age.

5 PREGOS I TAG:

I don't know any who haven't already been tagged, so if you are and want to play, go ahead.

Morris Family Reunion '08

Mikey's family has a big reunion every June and they go camping near Whiteriver. We stayed the whole second week in June and had a blast! Karson thought he had died and gone to heaven. He loves being outside! We went fishing and swam in the river, and we brought our own little pool for the kids to swim in, too. I love being with family - there is nothing more important in this world!

P.S. In the picture where Karson has "brown hair," he actually had a bucket of dirt dumped over his head from one of his cousins!!! It was hilarious!

Snow in May?!

So we are driving home from Saint Johns where we went to Mikey's nephew's 8th grade graduation, and it started snowing!! It was crazy and snowed that night and a little the next morning. So I snapped a few pics of our yard in the morning. It looked more like January 23rd instead of May 23rd!!!

It's been a while!

I know, I know. It's been forever since I have posted anything new on our blog. We don't have the internet at home yet, and things haeen super crazy. So please bear with me if I post "new" pics that are actually "old", but I want to catch everyone up. Thanks!!
